A new VPN showing great promise.
- Quick Summary
Kepard Review in a nutshell
- Reliability & Speed Test
Kepard is faster than some VPN providers we tested. Our normal download speed (without a VPN) is about 11mbsp. Using Kepard VPN, our average internet speed was about 9 ~ 10 mbps; just an 85-90% difference which is very good! Reliability was also well above-average. We rarely had any connection issues.
Speed Test ResultsTip: VPN Speeds and Reliability always vary. For the best results, connect to a server close to you (Ping < 100ms) using OpenVPN (the fastest and most secure protocol). If you have issues with a server, disconnect and try a different one.

- Servers and Countries
- Kepard, is new and growing slowly. They currently have 15 Servers in 9 Countries.[/highlight] (Updated May 3, 2016) (See the Entire List).
- Customer Support
- We rarely had to contact Kepard’s Support, but whenever we did, we always received responses to our questions in a timely manner. It was a satisfying experience.
Kepard currently offers Three Types of Support:
Support Ticket (Recommended) – We found their Support ticket system to be the best method to contact them for any reason. Their response time is usually within a few hours. They can also address more complicated issues or questions in detail through email.
FAQ – Their FAQ section can answer questions before you ask them. This can help cut down on the time you spend waiting for a reply, always a nice feature to have!
Email – This is actually not the best way to get hold of them. You’re stuck talking to one person, rather than the many that look at the Support Ticket section.
- Policy Highlights
- No Money-Back Guarantee
Kepard offers a absolutely no money-back guarantee on their VPN service for any reason. They state this clearly in their policy. Sign up for a short term account with them before going forward to know if they’re the right fit for you.
Anonymity – Good for Normal Usage. Not Hacker-Friendly!
Kepard keeps you anonymous and secure whenever you’re online, but that doesn’t mean you’re completely off the radar. Kepard does keep logs to track abuses on their service. They will work with Law Enforcement to to track down hackers and criminals using their service when compelled to do so by law. According to Kepard themselves:“Considering all the frauds happening on the internet we do have to keep logs in order to protect our business from abuse of using our services and for troubleshooting purpose. The logs are kept for 3 days.”
- The Conclusion
- Kepard is a new VPN service with some potential. Their software is easy enough to use, they offer decent speeds, and are available to help with questions.
The average user will do fine with Kepard, especially if you only want to browse the Internet, stream video, or get past geo-blocks while traveling internationally.
We would Not Recommend Kepard for users who download illegal torrents (It’s against their ToS), as well as hackers, scammers, etc..
