Banana VPN is a simple VPN provider. Fully functional since 2007, we can’t say that Banana VPN has made much progress during its 12-year existence. It doesn’t exactly offer the best features, and its server network consists of a mere 15 VPN servers across seven countries. Banana VPN has live chat support, but it was offline when we tried to use it. The customer protection policies could also use some improvement, especially the seven day long refund policy.

We don’t know exactly which of its VPN servers have a strong or weak VPN connection. We don’t know if the connection will suddenly drop, or how it will behave if servers are overcrowded. Banana VPN has three pricing plans: monthly, six-month, and yearly. The company offers a money-back guarantee during the first seven days after purchasing its product.

Nothing about this customer support impressed us in particular. The FAQ section consists of only 14 subcategories, and email support is available every day of the week from 8:00 to 22:00 GMT UK Time.
POLICIES & LOGGING
Banana VPN offers the following customer protection policies:
- Privacy policy: Banana VPN requires personal data such as your email address, name, credit card information, copy of your ID, and postal address. It will only disclose these pieces of information if required by law. Banana VPN also claims to share your personal data with its service partners.
- Refund policy: During the first seven days after purchasing the product, your order is 100% refundable. Banana VPN advises that you submit your refund request within the first three to four days to maximize your chances of getting a full refund.
- Logging policy: Banana VPN claims not to log any user activity other than the log access attempts, session duration, and bandwidth used. Such details are kept for two weeks.
This is one of the absolute worst privacy policies we’ve seen. Why in the world of all that is good do they need a copy of your ID? Are they going to share that with their service partners as well? Hard pass.

Our final verdict is that Banana VPN is a below-average VPN provider. There is simply nothing special about them. They don’t have strong features, their server network is average at best, and the customer support is largely insufficient. We tried reaching live chat support, but there was no response to our inquiry. Banana VPN’s pricing plans are considerably expensive, and their privacy policy is a joke.
