There were no big surprises in this area. FlyVPN has a standard set of features, like:

These are, more or less, the main features offered by FlyVPN. Those knowledgeable about VPNs will notice some valuable features missing in this set, like a kill switch, and leak protection features. There is also no mention of speed limitations, which leads us to believe that FlyVPN’s speed connection might not be super fast. All in all, these features are okay if you only indulge in casual Internet browsing.

FlyVPN’s servers cover more than 30 countries around the world. It has 14 servers available for users to try for free. The rest are only available with the premium package.
According to FlyVPN’s website, the number of servers is constantly rising. Even though it doesn’t have lots of countries covered, it does have servers in popular countries like:

China is where FlyVPN has the largest presence with 38 servers, followed by Hong Kong with 18, and the US with 14. This server network is not bad, but we’ve seen better. If geo-unblocking is the main reason why you need a VPN, then we suggest looking at VPN providers specializing in geo-unblocking.
Reliability & Speed Tests
High speed and security are two main traits that FlyVPN holds as its own. However, there are no clear details on its website that characterize the speed of its VPN connection. When we contacted live chat support and asked about the speed and stability of FlyVPN’s connection, we received a rather uncertain answer:
When we asked whether FlyVPN has speed limitations, the chat support agent answered with a concise “We don’t have speed limitations.” That’s the extent of our knowledge on this matter. There’s certainly not enough evidence for us to form an opinion about the speed and stability of FlyVPN’s connection.
Pricing and Payments
FlyVPN offers free and paid versions of its VPN services. The free version is limited and doesn’t exactly display the full capabilities of FlyVPN. Using the free service as a “test ride” though is a good idea to try out FlyVPN’s services.
FlyVPN offers three different pricing plans. Users get the same features with each plan; the only difference is in the time required for you to commit. Users also get to choose whether they want shared IP, USA-dedicated IP, or Korea-dedicated IP.

FlyVPN offers multiple ways for users to reach them. The provider also has a good knowledge base offering a wide range of useful content. This is important as users need to know they can count on their VPN provider to be there when they need help when adjusting their VPN client or facing unexpected problems.

We tested the customer support service by reaching the live chat support. We must say that we didn’t like the tone of FlyVPN’s support team member as all of our inquiries were answered only briefly, and the answers didn’t hold much value. Even though responses were prompt and arrived within minutes, we expected a friendly and informative response rather than the ones we received. Definitely not a trait of a top VPN provider.
POLICIES & LOGGING
Quality VPN providers must have strong protection policies to protect the privacy of their clients. FlyVPN offers the following protection policies:
- Privacy policy: FlyVPN collects certain personal information, including the user’s name, phone number, email address, ISP information, IP address, and GPS address. The company claims to use these pieces of information to improve its services. FlyVPN also uses cookies. It doesn’t share personal data except under the following circumstances:
- Refund policy: Users that are not satisfied with FlyVPN’s services may receive a full refund within 30 days, but this applies only to PayPal users. Refunds are unavailable for other payment methods. Refunds are processed within three business days.
Upon reviewing FlyVPN’s policies, we noticed that there is no mention of a no-logging policy. This means FlyVPN might monitor and log your online activity while you’re using its services. A no-logs policy is a very important aspect you should look for in a VPN provider. That’s why we recommend that you look at the top no-log VPN providers.
Expert Recommendation
FlyVPN left us with mixed impressions. On one hand, it offers some tempting features. On the other hand, it has glaring flaws that are hard to ignore.
The features are mainly okay, although FlyVPN did lack a kill switch and leak protection. With FlyVPN’s monthly pricing plan coming at a hefty $9.90, we expected to see a more comprehensive VPN service. The speed of its VPN connection is claimed to be fast, but there was no evidence supporting this statement. Customer support was okay, but live chat agent didn’t treat us with much enthusiasm. The privacy policy is dubious, as FlyVPN collects pretty much all your personal data. The company never mentioned the existence of a no-logging policy, which is a major bummer.
All in all, we conclude this FlyVPN review by stating that FlyVPN is an average VPN provider. Although there were some positives about this provider, we strongly recommend that you check out more reliable VPN providers that we have reviewed on our website.

Because of Black Friday, I only bought a two-year plan for $80, and I was very happy for $3.33 a month. I need servers in Asia, and FlyVPN has a lot of servers in Hong Kong, Taiwan and other places. Before choosing FlyVPN I did a fair amount of research. As the title suggests, although FlyVPN is generally very good, occasionally it does struggle to connect(PC restart normally fixes this though, so maybe it’s my system which is the issue ) Price is extremely reasonable when multiple months are bought and it was very simple to set up across multiple devices. All in all i have no complaints and am very happy with my decision.
