Top Ironsocket Review Providers

IronSocket Review

Before you buy a VPN suitable for Your Needs from the first company you find, check the reviews. We test, review and rate the top services for Ironsocket Review. We want to make sure you get the highest quality Ironsocket Review, the fastest turnaround time, the best support, the lowest price, and the guarantees to back it up. Don’t waste your money on scams or poor-quality providers.

Avoid the scams and use the services that actually work below:

IronSocket started its business in 2013, and it claims to provide customers a safe and anonymous way of browsing online. The site has a decently-sized network that covers 38 countries. Its packages range from a few months to a full year.

We found this provider to be average in our IronSocket review. While it can perform well in most common VPN applications, you can also find its features in other providers. We are underwhelmed that P2P use is only available on a few servers.

IronSocket will suit well as an entry-level VPN or for casual use. If you’re looking for a VPN for more advanced applications like unblocking content, we suggest that you look for better options. You can find good recommendations in our list of the best geo-unblocking providers.

Features

IronSocket has a standard feature set, but it claims to offer more. It provides unlimited device connections—the site says you can connect any number of devices using a single subscription. This feature works with IronSocket’s VPN, DNS proxy, and HTTP proxy services.

IronSocket Features

IronSocket will also let you unblock different websites and online services, including:

  • Hulu
  • Skype
  • Facebook
  • Pandora
  • YouTube

This unblocking feature will be useful to people who travel a lot and want to stay in touch with their home base. The VPN can also be used to access region-locked content.

Aside from unlimited device connections and thhe unblocking feature, you will also get:

  • Multiple protocol support (PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN)
  • P2P support on certain servers
  • Unlimited bandwidth
  • AES-256 encryption

These features may be common, but they give IronSocket enough capacity to meet the VPN needs of the average user.

Servers and countries

IronSocket has around 90 servers spread in 38 countries, including:

  • France
  • Sweden
  • Taiwan
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Mexico

The coverage is decent enough, but can’t be compared to bigger providers like CyberGhost. This particular provider covers 60 countries and has over 3,000 servers, giving you a lot more options.

IronSocket allows P2P traffic on only 20 servers, but the site says the server locations are strategically chosen for greater privacy. The servers are also dedicated, meaning you can download files faster and more securely.

One thing we like about IronSocket is that it lists its servers based on protocol type. It also lets you download the configuration files right on that list. This makes setting up and running connections with different protocols quite easy.

IronSocket Servers

Speed and reliability

IronSocket claims to offer high speeds for streaming and unblocking, but it does not provide any data to support its claims. This is a bummer since users would want to know from the get-go if the provider will have decent speeds.

As shown in the server section, the site has a decently-sized network which makes IronSocket suitable for basic VPN applications. There are still some significant limitations, such as the limited number of P2P servers. It will be best if you first have a clear idea of your purpose for using IronSocket before signing up, because Private Internet Access does everything IronSocket does, but on 3000+ server that all allow P2P.

Pricing and payments

IronSocket has the following subscription plans.

IronSocket Pricing

The prices of these plans are within the average price range and are comparable with providers that have similar feature sets. You need to create an account first in order to place an order. IronSocket also gives the option of adding connections to its proxy network, which is nice.

You can pay for the plans using credit cards, PayPal, and Bitcoin.

Support

IronSocket mainly provides customer support through a contact form. This form is simple and straightforward, but does not let you specify which department must receive your message. This can lead to some delayed responses. Once you have an account, you can also send support tickets for your concerns.

The site also provides setup guides for supported platforms. There are even guides for specific devices like gaming consoles. You can also refer to the FAQ sections for quick answers to common concerns.

Logging and policies

IronSocket’s Privacy Policy explicitly states that it does not log your activity when you’re connected to its network. The policy, however, says that it collects the following information during registration:

  • Email address
  • Subscription details
  • Payment details
  • Customer communications

While these pieces of information are not going to identify you personally, they can still provide clues to your general identity. The situation is made more problematic by a certain clause in the policy which states that IronSocket might share this information with third parties it works with.

This could all lead to potential information leaks, so we suggest that you look at our list of the best no-logs VPNs for more secure alternatives.

Expert recommendations

Our IronSocket review found this provider to be an average one. Most of its features are standard, but IronSocket will work just fine for typical VPN applications. We did like the size of its network, even though it isn’t that large in terms of total servers, it does cover 38 countries.

The prices of its packages are slightly more competitive than other providers in its category. We do like the option of adding connections to its proxy service. If you are looking for a more capable provider, you can find better options in our top ten list of providers.
