VPN Unlimited Review

Founded in 2013 and located in New York, VPN Unlimited is a VPN provider that offers excellent online protection services. According to its website, this VPN provider offers secure, fast, and unlimited access to any web content.

There are many reasons why you should consider choosing VPN Unlimited as your main VPN provider. It offers great features, its customer support is responsive and informative, and it is openly dedicated to keeping your personal information safe and intact. VPN Unlimited combines top-tier encryption with tunneling protocols to secure both your traffic and your personal information.

VPN Unlimited is a decent provider, although we’re not quite ready to put them in our Top 10 overall VPNs just yet. There are areas they can improve on, which will be looked at in this review.

Features

When it comes to choosing your ideal VPN provider, always go with one that offers rock-solid features that will protect your online privacy and security. These are the features that VPN Unlimited offers:

  • Up to 10 devices on a single account
  • Unlimited traffic and connection speeds
  • OpenVPN, L2TP/IPSec, IKEv2, KeepSolid Wise protocols
  • Military-grade AES 256-bit encryption
  • Torrent support
  • 24/7 instant email and live chat support
  • Proprietary apps
  • Integrated kill switch
  • No-logging policy
  • Full access to 400+ servers in 70+ locations

With these features, you will have a fast and uninterrupted VPN connection that is backed by a strong encryption method and P2P support.

On top of it all, you will be able to access geo-restricted content across 70+ locations. You will be able to do all of these with the knowledge that no one is monitoring or recording your online activity thanks to their no-logging policy.

Servers & countries

VPN Unlimited offers a decent VPN network spanning 70+ locations, with over 400 servers distributed amongst those locations. This server network is not the biggest we’ve seen, but it is constantly growing. VPN Unlimited covers some of the most popular countries, like:

  • Canada
  • The US
  • Denmark
  • Belgium
  • Sweden
  • France
  • The UK
  • Spain

VPN Unlimited has servers in some countries where VPNs are frowned upon, like Turkey. You can also submit a request for them to place servers in a country of your choosing.

VPN Unlimited states that the speed and security of its servers are the same regardless of which server you choose. It also allows its users to watch Hulu, HBO, Netflix, ESPN+, and BBC iPlayer from any location. This makes VPN Unlimited an ok VPN for unblocking geo-restricted content, but we do review better VPNs for geo-blocks on our site.

Speed & reliability

VPN Unlimited states that the company is all about providing uninterrupted, high-speed connections. To make sure they stand by what they say, we decided to ask the live chat support which responded promptly with friendly feedback.

By our standards, that is a fair and reasonable statement. No VPN provider can guarantee 100% that your connection won’t drop or your speed will not be reduced at any given time. VPN Unlimited did a good job at being open about its capabilities.

Pricing & payments

VPN Unlimited offers four different pricing plans. The price changes allow you to use the VPN client on five or 10 devices. Other than that, every pricing plan includes the same features. VPN Unlimited offers the following pricing plans:

The biggest savings come with its three-year plan which allows you to save up to 75%. As you can see, VPN Unlimited also has a “Lifetime” pricing plan, but we strongly advise that you avoid purchasing a lifetime subscription. There are too many risks involved, and you might end up not getting your money’s worth.

All of their plans include a seven-day free trial period. VPN Unlimited also states that users will be able to reach the company’s 24/7 customer support service at any time.

Users can install their payments via PayPal, Bitcoin, Amazon, and credit cards.

Support

VPN Unlimited brags about its 24/7 email and live chat support. We don’t like to leave things unchecked, so we decided to test the customer support ourselves. We reached live chat support, and we were very much satisfied with as the company responded almost immediately to our inquiries with descriptive and informative feedback.

Customer support - VPN Unlimited Review

Furthermore, VPN Unlimited offers different types of customer support on its website in the form of:

  • FAQ
  • Knowledge base
  • Blog
  • Manuals
  • Info
  • Live Chat
  • Email support

You can also reach customer support through the contact page at support@keepsolid.com. VPN Unlimited apparently has a one-hour average response time. If you have some complex or technical difficulties that require a more thorough answer, you might want to contact them via email instead of live chat.

Policies & logging

You want to choose a provider who won’t record your online activity and who offers a decent privacy and refund policy. Here are the policies that VPN Unlimited offers:

  • Privacy policy: For VPN Unlimited to be able to provide you with good services, it needs to acquire certain personal information from you, like your name, company name, email address, username and password, and IP address. VPN Unlimited does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties without your consent. However, it does share your personal data with its affiliates and third-party service providers for business and legal purposes.
  • Refund policy: According to the website and customer support, VPN Unlimited offers a seven-day money-back guarantee. Users can submit a refund request in any given situation during the seven-day trial period, as confirmed by customer support.

  • No-logging policy: VPN Unlimited claims not to monitor or record your online activity while you’re using its services. It implements a strict no-logging policy.

Other than the somewhat loose privacy policy, we liked the customer protection policies offered by VPN Unlimited.

Expert recommendation

Our impression of VPN Unlimited is mostly positive. This provider offers pretty much everything you should be looking for in a VPN provider. The features are great, as VPN Unlimited has a kill switch and a strong encryption method, and it supports torrenting. Its server network is not the biggest server network we’ve seen, but it’ll do just fine as it has covered most of the popular countries for geo-unblocking. VPN Unlimited allows you to gain access to content from Netflix, ESPN, BBC iPlayer, Hulu, and other geo-restricted websites.

What we liked the most about this provider is the prompt and caring customer support. Only seconds after we wrote to live chat support, the agent responded in a friendly and informative manner. We also liked the company’s no-logging policy, though we’re unsure about its privacy policy and how the company uses your data for some purposes. The pricing plans are fairly reasonable, and we don’t see any reason why VPN Unlimited shouldn’t be categorized as a top VPN provider with just a few improvements.
