We want to mention that ActiVPN offers one of the best protection policies with concise, strict rules stating that your personal data is not up for grabs. There is room for improvement in the customer support section, speed and reliability, and the size of their server network. ActiVPN’s one-month plan is a little expensive as well.

ActiVPN has 61 VPN servers across 32 countries. No wonder why the company hasn’t placed geo-unblocking as one of its specialties. ActiVPN, however, claims to be constantly growing and improving the functionality of its VPN servers.

ActiVPN’s presence is mostly focused in France where it has 11 servers, followed by the US with 9. The rest of the countries have either one or two VPN servers. This is definitely not ideal for geo-unblocking.

Upon reviewing ActiVPN, we found very little information that would allow us to form an opinion regarding the speed and stability of its VPN connection. All we were able to find was this:
Low ping is also listed as one of ActiVPN’s main features. The provider claims that it will offer a VPN connection that won’t interrupt your gaming or streaming activity. Little information was given to support this statement, and we can’t elaborate on this issue with much precision.

Considering the offered features, we have to say that ActiVPN comes at a surprisingly high cost. There are three pricing plans. The one-month subscription comes at a price of €9.99, which is expensive and not in line with the industry average.
The two-year plan offers the biggest savings; users can save up to 78%, which is quite impressive when compared to their monthly, but still not a great value.

Protection policies are an integral part of a reliable VPN provider. Users should go for VPN providers that promise to keep their personal data and privacy safe. This is the area where ActiVPN impressed us the most. ActiVPN offers the following protection policies:
- Privacy policy: ActiVPN only collects minimal user information. It only collects information required for its services to be properly functional. It uses cookies to provide users with the best experience.
- Refund policy: Users can ask for a reimbursement of their service fees if they can’t connect to ActiVPN’s services. ActiVPN can refuse refund requests at its discretion.
- No-logging policy: ActiVPN doesn’t advertise this aspect on its homepage, but it claims not to monitor the online activity of its users under any circumstances. If this is true, then ActiVPN has a great no-logging policy.
ActiVPN offers quite solid protection policies, except for its unclear refund policy. Nonetheless, the no-logging and privacy policies are rock-solid, and that’s a big plus.

What we liked the most about this provider are its strong customer protection policies. We particularly liked its strict no-logging and privacy policies. However, ActiVPN still has a long way to go to be ranked among top VPN providers. Its customer support is insufficient, and it lacks a live chat feature. Its prices are not that affordable and don’t reflect the quality of what they make available.
All in all, ActiVPN is an average VPN that has lots of room for improvement. We could recommend it because of its rock-solid customer protection policies, but we still advise that you take a look at other VPN providers with more comprehensive services.
