The Most Downloaded Movies June 10, 2016

Only two movies from last week’s list managed to make it to this week. Get ready for a completely overhauled most downloaded movies list for June 10, 2016! A few movies from previous weeks do return, but with new versions in 1080p.

Further proving that nerds run Hollywood, Warcraft is the top movie downloaded this past week. For those who have been playing this game for literally over a decade, it’s a case of ‘what took you so long?!?’ The movie is doing quite poorly with critics, but fans are loving it. After 10 years of wanting something, and finally getting it, you’ll likely love anything you get…

Are you reading the number 2 movie and thinking that I need an editor? Well, you’d be half-right, but you’d also be wrong. The name of the movie is indeed Independents’ Day. This low-budget alien invasion movie is probably being downloaded as a ‘so bad, it’s good’ film. Critics have brutalised it, IMDb rates it at 1.5/10. Another movie on the list which may have you wondering is Cell. Sadly, it is not the 2000 masterpiece starring J-Lo, that was The Cell. This is a new movie that is not yet in theatres starring Samuel L. Jackson, and John Cusak. It’s based on a Stephen King novel, so the odds are in its favour for me never, ever watching it. I hate Stephen King.

A couple other movies on the list have been hanging around ,but are back thanks to a new 1080p version being uploaded. That would be Zootopia, and 10 Cloverfield Lane. Fans have loved these two movies from the start, frequently putting them on the list over the last few months. Now that they have new version out, and are no longer in theatres, I’m sure they’ll hang around for a bit longer. Midnight Special made a comeback too, but I’m not sure why. The fantastic Michael Shannon likely has something to do with it. He is General Zod, you know.

Yes, there’s a tenth movie. I refuse to acknowledge it any further.
