Flow VPN Review
We find Flow VPN as a decent VPN option. We liked the unmetered service that it offers since this gives you a good connection in different situations.
Flow VPN Review Summary
Flow VPN is a provider that has been around since 2011. The site says that Flow VPN gives customers unmetered VPN services at affordable prices. This feature is available on all servers of its decent-sized network which covers 50 countries.
We found this provider to be satisfactory. The unmetered service it offers will suffice for most applications. We also liked the flexibility of the network when it comes to server switching. The plans are reasonably priced for what the company offers.
Despite these positives, we can’t overlook the site’s logging policies as it’s explicitly stated that Flow VPN does keep logs. We suggest that you first compare Flow VPN with other VPNs in our top 10 best providers list.
Flow VPN Features
One of Flow VPN’s main features is its unmetered VPN connection. The site says you can download any content without worrying about slowdowns. To provide this service, the company closely monitors its overall network usage and makes adjustments to specific servers as needed.
Flow VPN also gives the option to reroute traffic. You first send the traffic to the nearest server, then choose another server where you can reroute your traffic. This is commonly called “Multi-Hop” server technology. The site says that this will let you optimize your connection further.
The site supports its unlimited bandwidth offer with a good set of security features, including:
- NAT firewall
- Bank-grade encryption
- Multiple protocol support
- Four simultaneous connections
These features come together to provide a safe connection to customers for different applications.
Flow VPN SERVERS & COUNTRIES
Flow VPN has a sizable network consisting of 100 servers and covering 50 countries, including:
- Canada
- Costa Rica
- Indonesia
- Singapore
- Belgium
The coverage is diverse, giving you plenty of options. We should note that there are VPN providers, like VyprVPN, which have larger networks for you to compare with Flow VPN.
Reliability & Speed Tests
Flow VPN frequently touts that its unmetered service will let you download without slowdowns, but it doesn’t provide data to show what kind of speeds should be expected by customers. This is a bit underwhelming since this makes things hard for users to gauge the performance they will get from Flow VPN. Until we get our speed data, we suggest that you temper your expectations on Flow VPN’s speeds.
Reliability, on the other hand, is a different matter. The service lets you switch servers as often as you like, which is great for finding the best one for your current use. You can also take advantage of the rerouting feature to enhance your connection further. We still suggest that you compare Flow VPN with top geo-unblocking VPN providers and find out whether it is at par with these providers.
Pricing and Payments
Flow VPN offers the following three plans.
All these plans include Flow VPN’s unmetered service. They also include a free three-day trial period.
Subscription payment is mainly done through PayPal’s Pre-approved Payment system. This automatically deducts the subscription fee from your PayPal account every billing date. You can cancel your subscription by terminating the payment agreement. Other payment options include Alipay, Paymentwall, and credit cards.
Support
Flow VPN mainly provides customer support through an online contact form. The site claims to provide 24/7 human support and will respond to your questions the next day. You can also email your questions to help@flowvpn.com. Do note that you do need to provide the name of the device you use with the VPN for both channels.
The provider also has a sizable knowledge base where you can find quick answers to common troubleshooting and configuration concerns.
POLICIES & LOGGING
Due to the way its unmetered service works, Flow VPN says that it has the option to log user activity on its network. While we understand the rationale, this comes as an undesirable consequence. People who plan to use the service for sending sensitive information may want to reconsider their move. They will be able to find better options in our list of top no-logging VPNs.
The site also does not generally offer refunds, arguing that its free trial would be enough for customers to assess its services. It can grant refunds if the customer can show that the VPN did not perform as advertised. To initiate the refund request, you need to email the company’s customer support with the details of your issue.
Expert Recommendation
We find Flow VPN as a decent VPN option. We liked the unmetered service that it offers since this gives you a good connection in different situations. The company also has a decently sized network and lets you switch servers as many times as you want.
We did find the site’s logging policies as problematic. The fact that Flow VPN logs user activity as a consequence of its unmetered service will not be liked by some users. We suggest that you compare Flow VPN first with other companies in our top VPN providers list and find better options.

I have tried zenmate, nordvpn, expressvpn, hotspot shield, and hma, But Flow VPN takes the cake. Has the ability to work at schools, and many other places that try to block all VPNs two best VPNs are Hotspot Shield and best one yet Flow VPN
Very poor vpn
What to do if a VPN which is based in UK (why not in USA ? :o) Peer to peer is not allowed , no torrenting , no movies , no music etc… Definitively old fashioned VPN, PPTP and L2TP dinosaurus protocols are still allowed . How trust security of their connections There is no linux client , big shame ! You must pay for that 3 good reasons to avoid it !!!
Service is pretty poor... Bad connection... buffering...
When I complained I was told to try another server, I do, still bad…I seriously find this company a waste of money, won’t try them again after subscription ends….advise any readers to look to somewhere else.
Absolutely Perfect!
No problems in 2 years of use so far – set it up 2015/16. But tricky to set up for a non techie but managed it in 20 mins. Blip a year ago where I had to reset it. No blips since. Very happy with it….
