We conclude this Trust Zone VPN review by stating that Trust Zone VPN is a reliable VPN provider. We liked how it offers high-quality features such as strong encryption, a kill switch, and DNS leak protection.

Trust.Zone VPN Review Summary

Trust Zone VPN is a solid VPN provider that is dedicated to making a name in the VPN industry. It relies on top-notch encryption and a no-logging ensure users that they are being protected.

Created in 2014 by a company called Trusted Solutions, LLC, Trust Zone VPN is a VPN provider based in Seychelles. This provider offers a fine set of features, its customer support care is admirable, and it also treats the privacy of its customers with utmost respect, especially since the Seychelles have no laws requiring data retention.

It has 170+ servers in 95+ locations around the world, and it claims that its services are particularly useful for bypassing content restrictions because of this. They support torrenting. The company has a 10-day money-back guarantee, which is not the most flexible refund policy we’ve seen. While they are a decent VPN provider, they have failed to reach the heights of our Top 10 VPN providers.

Trust.Zone VPN Features

There are certain traits to look for when choosing a VPN provider, such as security, support for geo-unblocking and P2P networking, and having a no-logging policy. With that being said, let’s check the features listed on Trust Zone VPN’s website:

  • Prevents your ISP from tracking your every move
  • No-logging policy
  • Unlimited speed
  • Up to five simultaneous connections
  • OpenVPN and L2TP protocols
  • AES 256-bit encryption
  • P2P networking supported
  • DNS leak protection
  • Available on Windows, iOS, Android, and MacOS
  • Unlimited bandwidth
  • Supported in five languages: English, Spanish, Turkish, Russian, and French

Trust Zone VPN has most of the basic features we deem important. Everything other than these features can be considered a bonus. Don’t ever settle for a VPN that doesn’t offer at least these fundamental features.

Trust.Zone VPN SERVERS & COUNTRIES

Trust Zone VPN doesn’t have the most expansive server network, but it sure covers a lot of ground. It currently has 171 servers in 96 locations around the world. While the company may not have the biggest network, most of its servers are strategically placed in the US and Europe, including in these popular countries:

  • France
  • Spain
  • Italy
  • The US
  • Canada
  • The UK
  • Australia
  • Brazil
  • Germany
  • Netherlands

Trust Zone VPN claims that its VPN is perfectly suited for streaming popular shows, like “Game Of Thrones,” wherever you are.

Trust Zone VPN Servers

Trust Zone VPN recommends using static dedicated IP addresses to bypass content restrictions. Given their limited server numbers, we can’t put them on our list of the Best VPNs for Geo-Unblocking at this time.

Reliability & Speed Tests

The quality of a VPN provider is also measured by how fast and reliable its VPN connection is. Trust Zone VPN claims on its website that it offers unlimited speed and bandwidth, but is that true? In its FAQ section, Trust Zone VPN suggests that if you do experience slow connections, you can do the following:

  • Check what VPN zone you’re currently using. It recommends connecting to the VPN zones that are closest to you.
  • Each zone may contain several servers. Sometimes, you can experience different VPN speeds in the same zone. That means connection speed may differ from one VPN server to another.

Connection speed and stability are two vital metrics. It is important for a provider to offer decent speeds so that you can fully enjoy torrenting and streaming without any interruptions.

Pricing and Payments

Trust Zone VPN offers several paid options, but it also allows users to try its services for free. That is probably a wise thing to do because many users want to give the VPN a “test run” before they commit to a long-term subscription. Here are the pricing plans offered by Trust Zone VPN:

  • Free test: 142 locations; one GB transfer data; maximum three days of use; one simultaneous connection.
  • One month: $8.99; 171 locations; unlimited GB transfer data; three simultaneous connection.
  • One year: $3.33; 171 locations; unlimited GB transfer data; three simultaneous connection.
  • Two years: $2.88; 171 locations; unlimited GB transfer data; five simultaneous connection.

All paid plans have no data cap and unlimited server switching. All plans, including the free version, come with unlimited bandwidth and one click-install-and-run software. The biggest savings come with the two-year subscription plan where users can save up to 68%. Users can also choose to customize their plans and add additional features of their choosing.

Payments can be made through Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, PayPal, credit cards, and PayPro Global.

Support

Another metric that is vital in the ranking of VPN provides is customer support. We can’t stress this enough—customer support care is the decisive factor that stretches a line between good and bad VPN providers. Let’s see what kind of customer support Trust Zone VPN offers:

Trust Zone VPN review
  • Blog
  • FAQ
  • Troubleshooting
  • Setup guides
  • Manual
  • Contact us page
  • Twitter support

The lack of a live chat feature poses a problem, but the company has plenty of useful content stored on its blog and FAQ section. In case you have any issues, you can always reach customer support which is available Mondays to Fridays from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM GMT +0. All in all, this is decent customer support, but without a live chat feature, we can’t rank Trust Zone VPN as great.

POLICIES & LOGGING

Solid customer protection policies are important because you want a provider who won’t collect and then trade, sell, or rent your personal information while you’re using its services. Here are the customer protection policies offered by Trust Zone VPN:

  • Privacy policy: Trust Zone VPN collects only your email address when you register. All third-party payment processers can store specific information about your payments. The provider also uses cookies, but it doesn’t store any personal information.
  • Refund policy: If you are unsatisfied with Trust Zone VPN’s services, you can submit a written email request within the first 10 days of your contract, stating that you wish to cancel. You will be granted a full refund if you haven’t used more than one GB of data during those 10 days. If you have exceeded the one-GB limit, you can still request a partial refund. It can take up to 20 days for refunds to be granted.
  • No-logging policy: Trust Zone VPN does not store any log files and strives to keep your privacy safe. All the usage data is anonymous and not connected to your real, public IP address.

These are pretty standard customer protection policies, and we especially liked the company’s no-logging policy. We do have to wonder why they have unlimited data but still admit to tracking data use. This makes sense for free users, but not paid.

Expert Recommendation

We conclude this Trust Zone VPN review by stating that Trust Zone VPN is a reliable VPN provider. We liked how it offers high-quality features such as strong encryption, a kill switch, and DNS leak protection. Trust Zone VPN is clear about protecting the privacy of its users with a no-log policy. We like this, and hope that they improve their overall VPN service soon to be included in our list of the Top 5 No-Log VPN Providers.

It explicitly states that it supports P2P networking, which is a good thing. It also offers unlimited speed and bandwidth. Both of these are in their favor, but not quite enough to earn them a spot in our Top 5 VPNs for Torrenting list.

There are a few things we think the company could improve, like adding a live chat support feature, and expanding the server network. Other than that, Trust Zone VPN doesn’t have many flaws. All in all, we like this provider, but acknowledge that there are better overall VPNs available right now.

Worked OK for one week after I paid for three months. Yesterday it stopped working completely and affected my in home Wi-Fi. I am in Thailand. I should get a refund. It was easy to install and worked fine initially. But yesterday when it stopped working I tried everything to get it back up. But as long as trustzone was on, my home Wi-Fi showed limited connection. Once I uninstalled trustzone my home Wi-Fi worked again. I purchased and installed Nordvpn, and everything is working fine. Like I said I should get a refund for unused time.

Service does exactly what it says it does with a large number of vpn server locations. It worked perfectly when I lived in Asia and wanted to watch Hulu which wouldn’t accept my Thai location. Customer service is also good. No complaints. I am now recommending to all my friends who want to watch NFL Game Day rather than purchase Direct TV. Just run your proxy though the UK and watch whatever games you want on the computer. It’s wise to make sure you run the SpeedTest to make sure you have the fastest non-North American proxy.

Everything really works extremely well with Trustzone, and especially the throughput is extremely good compared to other VPN services. I have a 100 mbit connection, and using trustzone I usually get 80-90% of that with minimum lag, which makes it perfect for streaming services, even in HD.

I started using Trustzone because of their no logging policy and warrant canary. They use OpenVPN, L2TP protocol, which I think is arguably the most secure, and AES 256 encryption standard. Plus, they take anonymous payments with bitcoin. I only put 4 stars because Trustzone support is off during weekend

Been using Trustzone for about 2 years now, and it’s always been an excellent experience: negligible effect on my bandwidth speeds, only a couple outages that I’ve noticed (over 2 years!), and verifiably secure and private

Not impressed. My download speed dropped from 100 mbps to 45 mbps on all servers tested. Graphing the download tests showed the download speeds cycling from 10 to 65 mbps. Not stable. Uninstalling the program and retesting returns throughput to 100 mbps graphs at 95 to 100 mbps. I have requested a refund.

Line speed was only 0.80mbs on a 2mbs line. Tried all servers even server closest to my area was and 0.80mbs was their best. Was just over thier 1gb data (refund policy) about 3 gigs they charged me 11 dollars for those 3 gigs over for refund. Overall lost cash due to thier own negligence. Just shows you pay for what you get. Would give 1 star…

Trustzone has been the best single piece of software I’ve bought to block internet tracking of websites and content. It just works and is super easy without the hassle of having to run your own proxy server. I would recommend this to anyone who is wanting to hide and mask their IP address.

This program slowed down my laptop, connection was very slow so it was impossible to watch something and had only one available server. I asked for refund but they didn’t come back to me. So I claim it through Paypal. After that, I was threaten to cancel it or I won’t get my money back. Very rude and unprofessional service.

Good speed… I am a bit of a geeky to figure out what it is doing and why the connection going through the VPN tunnel will never be as fast as going direct to the website but performance is certainly usuable. Still as a 2 year user, I have not seen a better service of its kind. I have just renewed for my third year.

At first this product was fantastic, after that there was a DDoS attack on the Trust Zone servers. They extended my service by a day for free. However, after that, service continually was mediocre at times. After two times I stopped notifying them of issues. I’m glad I only chose a single year contract so that I could get out quick before total failure of this product. When I purchased the service Trust Zone was rated over 4.5 stars, now I rate them at barely a two.

Always had connection/configuration problems. Then traveled to Australia and Vanuatu, expecting to use to protect sensitive banking data. AGAIN, connection/config problems. Instructed to uninstall – then to DISABLE all other protections (antivirus/firewall/etc) – then download program again, which required all of my login data to TrustZone account to be sent again, in order to download ! ! Why would I have that data while traveling ? Why would anyone send it over an open connection ? As this vpnmentor.com says, no 24 hr customer support. Most ‘support’ refers you to a FAQ .

The app has worked until now, the connection was a bit slow, but usable still. However, now the app just freezes/is unresponsive upon startup, making it literally unusable. The rating stands until an update fixes this bug, if it isn’t addressed then there’s no need for me to keep my subscription, is there.

2017 UK REVIEW TRUST.ZONE

Rated 5 out of 5
May 6, 2019

I’m in the UK and have been using TRUST.ZONE for nearly 3 weeks. For me a VPN must NOT keep your data or store personal information! That was my main reason for trying trust.zone. They offer a 1 month subscription so I thought I would give them a try. I was surprised at how little information they asked for or needed. VPN Client downloaded (30MB) and set up automatically in moments. The client is very simple and does not have many settings other then what server you want and to set up different ports and to enable DNS leak protection and that’s about it. Previous reviews say its slow and offers no mobile app and both of them are clearly outdated as there are many servers and supports multiple platforms. My download speed dropped around 15% and less then 10% on upload and that is definitely expected when using a VPN so I am very pleased with my available bandwidth! I have put it through every DNS leak test I could find and tested torrent leaks and it never revealed my true IP and all traffic was reporting trust zone. There are not many settings so the more advanced might want to look at something different. If your looking for a reliable and safe VPN and want to install trust and keep it simple then trust.zone is an awesome choice

Like trying all new ventures, I’ve been skeptical and hesitant to ‘try’ even a free VPN. Your positive and detailed review, and the $2.88/mo./24 mos. instant-offer from TrustZone ‘sealed the deal’! I tried, stumbled through a few (newer) steps, then effortlessly began using my new VPN services on my Android smartphone, on a standby laptop, and on my main desktop (homebuilt) pc! I’m just an ‘average user’; I’ve not noticed any lag or change in download speeds or reliability.

I have used them for over a year (1 year plan renewed for a second year), and I have been more than satisfied. They certainly have the best price on a one year plan, and I am not willing to sign up with anybody on a 2 year plan. I use for Linux (openvpn) as well as Windows and I find my speed as measured side by side on speedtest.net does not suffer at all. I have experienced a couple of hung connections where I needed to stop/start the VPN again but not many. Biggest complaint I have is the GEO IP issue where some of their USA servers show as Moscow, Russia. In this era of Russian Hackers, I can certainly envision some nefarious scenario where USA traffic is routed via Moscow just to sniff it…. traceroute seemed to confirm that the server is not really in Russia, but Trust.Zone should make an effort to get all those GEOlocation service up-to date.

I have been experiencing a decline in bandwidth over a period of months with TrustZone’s VPN. I contacted their customer service via email and I received a response in a matter of hours. Their solution completely resolved my issue and I now have full bandwidth in both upload and download. It would appear that TrustZone’s customer service has improved greatly since this article was written. I am convinced that their CS’s knowledge of their product is well understood and they answer customer issues in a precipitous manner. I just renewed their service for another year.
P.S.: Since enlisting TrustZone, I have not received a single warning from any movie company.

2017 NO REVIEW TRUST.ZONE

Rated 5 out of 5
March 1, 2019

I’m located in Norway using this awesome VPN provider. Their software for Windows works without issues, can easily be set up on all the devices I use (Linux, Mac, TV) and support has been very helpful each time I’ve needed them. Only downside for most of us using this provider is that the speed for us Scandinavians is quite slow compared to our actual speed. Most of us have 100/xx speeds so the speed WILL drop quite a bit. For me the speed is almost dropped to 50%. This is quite a pain, but the connection is stable. Even when selecting other locations in EU, the speed is not close to my actual speed. So to gain more Scandinavian customers, then the speed should be better.

I Can't Trust.Zone

Rated 3 out of 5
January 15, 2019

I’ve used TZ for more than just a test period. They were my first choice, and have been acceptable enough to keep using. The service is cheap, fast, and usually reliable. But now I am going to switch, for reasons that are sadly not mentioned in this review.
First, you need to try more tests before declaring it leak-free. The Windows client does, in fact, leak DNS requests. This is obscured by the software which automatically changes your ISP network connection settings to use their proprietary DNS servers, *masking* any leaks. I’ve tested and can confirm that DNS requests go out from both the VPN-created network connection AND the ISP-facing connection. That’s worse than simple DNS leaks because it covers up the fact that DNS requests are being routed outside the VPN tunnel. DNS leak tests need to check which network adapter the requests are going through, not just which DNS server they go to.
Even if it didn’t leak, the proprietary DNS are located only in Canada and Netherlands — suspicious choices for a VPN supposedly located in Seychelles. Which brings me to the bigger issue:
There is ZERO information as to who runs this service. No hiring posts or employees anywhere on earth. “Extra Solutions”, or “Trusted Solutions” (the name they began using later) also have no records anywhere. This service is a black box. Could be run by Russia, could be the NSA, could be a hacker collective which will eventually use all the information they can gather. There is no way anyone can trust their no-logging policy since there’s no evidence this is run by a real business. To be honest, it’s disturbing how nearly all reviewers overlook this elephant. Claiming to be located in Seychelles is far from a guarantee your data is out of spy agencies’ hands.

I am well into my second year of using Trust Zone. At first I had issues with configuration and VPN leaks. However I was partly to blame due to lack of knowledge. I now run Trust Zone on Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and my Apple 6s.iPhone. I have not had a leak, or any other major issue, for a very long time. If it does fail it is usually due to a file error caused by one of my devices. Keep in mind while Trust Zone does not log usage, all your devices do.

I am a workstation security specialist with 20+ years experience, tried many of so called “budget” VPN services for my clients. They were either dropping connection, had dramatical speed trade-offs, or given with very less location selections. Honestly speaking Trust.zone was my purchase while “let’s try this too, just to remove from my list” in mind. But surprisingly it turned out to be very well, they have a quite good connection software for windows, managed to connect easily where core components of OS like System(ntoskrnl.exe) svchost.exe is blocked by firewall, (thus RAS service is blocked as well, and this is on you Microsoft, because of windows 10 telemetry ware, spyware and privacy invasion leads people to be more and more paranoid). Speed loss compared to direct connection without VPN for same continent locations is around 20%. which is quite impressive. I couldn’t find a good budget VPN with its own connection manager, with many locations with honest no-logs policy, other than Trust.zone. cons: – VIP servers for US not shown in their software. – would be nice if they had their connection manager made for other OS’ like GNU/Linux, Android. – they use just one IP for all on each server (correct if I’m wrong) so I’ve had hard times with Google anti-bot protection when searching something, also could not use speedtest.net several times of day for same reason. overall: Trust.zone is my recommended BUDGET VPN provider for my clients at the moment.

Then I tried router option and configured my Asus which supports OpenVPN. The Connection was functional and stable for 1 day. Nothing helps – another server, restarts… Not android nor router can connect. What a pity. The support is off during weekends.
